Application Engineer

Ovarro is a company with real purpose. Our RTUs and SCADA have underpinned critical infrastructure for over 40 years and our leak detection portfolio is helping to drive towards a global sustainable future. To enable this, we need team members who fully live our OneTeam value which is at the heart of everything we do at Ovarro. We are now looking to hire an Application Engineer located in Waterloo who will develop customer applications.

At Ovarro you will;

• Contribute to and work on application for our customers. Implementation and validation of new functionalities. Maintenance of existing functionalities.
• Contribute to and participate in the validation of our RTU products. Applies a range of techniques to perform extensive testing of systems. Implementation and documentation of new manual or automated tests.
• Contribute to and work on RTU production testbench. Implementation and validation of test process of new products. Maintenance of existing testers.

Candidates should have;

• A proven background in creating customer applications
• Experience with various programming languages ideally C# or Python
• Knowledge of Industrial or IoT protocols (e.g. OPC UA, DNP3, IEC60870, Modbus, MQTT, etc…) is an advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in French and English

Chez Ovarro, vous serez amené à :

• Contribuer et travailler sur des applications pour nos clients.
• Mise en œuvre et validation de nouvelles fonctionnalités.
• Maintenance des fonctionnalités existantes.
• Contribuer et participer à la validation de nos produits RTU.
• Appliquer une gamme de techniques pour effectuer des tests approfondis des systèmes.
• Mise en œuvre et documentation de nouveaux tests manuels ou automatisés.
• Contribuer et travailler sur le banc d'essai de production RTU.
• Mise en œuvre et validation du processus de test des nouveaux produits.
• Maintenance des testeurs existants.

Les candidats doivent posséder :

• Une expérience confirmée dans la création d'applications clients
• Expérience avec divers langages de programmation, idéalement C# ou Python
• La connaissance des protocoles industriels ou IoT (par exemple, OPC UA, DNP3, IEC60870, Modbus, MQTT, etc.) est un avantage
• Capacité à communiquer efficacement, verbalement et par écrit, en français et en anglais
