Release Engineer

Here at Ovarro we are currently experiencing an exciting period of change. After being bought by our new owners in early 2019, we have had complete renovation of our office space and a renovation of our working practices. Whilst the office is a COVID-secure environment, the business has implemented technology that enables its employees to work and communicate from home effectively.

Working in a Release Team responsible for delivering first-class software to our customers, our Release Engineer will be responsible for planning, preparing and successfully performing upgrades and new implementations to our customers to a high standard, on time and within budget.

How you will add value to our team:

- Build and maintain representative test environments
- Testing software upgrade paths
- Regression testing
- Planning upgrades to our customers
- Delivering upgrades, remotely and on-site
- Collaborating with the Support and Product teams
- Adhering to CAB processes
- System builds
- Developing knowledge of Ovarro products 

To be successful as an Release Engineer, you will need:

- A positive and customer focused attitude
- Quick learning ability
- A passion for technology

Desirable attributes are:

- Knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of bash scripting
- Knowledge of SCADA and Telemetry systems
- Knowledge of virtualisation software such as VMWare, Proxmox
