Junior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer for our Waterloo office who can work their magic with our RTUs and Dataloggers products. 
Core Responsibilities 

  • Participate in the architecture design and implementation of our RTU/Datalogger embedded software suite(s) based on Linux kernel and RTOS.
  • Participate in the architecture design and implementation of our RTU/Datalogger management software suite(s) based on C# .NET for Windows.
  • Implementation of communication protocols and advanced algorithms in C/C++ or C# for our RTU/Datalogger via our Add-on Developer Kit.
  • Support design, development and implementation of customer applications in C# .NET.
  • Create unit test cases for our systems to enhance reliability and avoid regressions.
  • Draw ad hoc technical documentation in English, for internal use and for customers (like API reference).

Education & Experience 

  • Engineer or Bachelor degree in computer science or automation.
  • Proven experience in programming languages (C/C++ and/or C# .NET).
  • Experience in real time, communication, embedded systems and Linux is a key advantage.
  • Knowledge of automation and industrial systems is a key advantage.
  • Experience in scripting languages (JavaScript) and Web technologies is an advantage.


  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in French and English.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to be self-reliant.
  • Professional approach and comfortable interacting at all levels with confidence.
