Our new Assistant Accountant will support the smooth running of the Finance department. Ensuring daily accuracy of processing and transactions of finance tasks within a manufacturing environment. Supporting the management of sales and purchase ledgers and assisting with financial reporting, auditing and data management.

You will add impact at Ovarro by;

  • Maintaining the aged debtor’s ledger, dealing with invoice and payment queries, and ensure weekly chasing of overdue payments.
  • Assisting with management of purchase and sales ledgers ensuring accurate and timely recording and processing of information.
  • Daily posting of bank transactions.
  • Processing banking and credit card transactions.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets, intangible assets and GRNI accruals.
  • Maintaining the aged creditor ledger, assisting with creating and maintaining supplier account details and reconciliation of supplier statements as required
  • Supporting month end procedures ensuring timely completion of tasks to facilitate accurate reporting, including working with the local team to add value and support the process.
  • Creating and maintaining strong audit processes and backup


Candidates should possess;

  • Experience of working in an Accounts Assistant role is essential
  • Solid experience of using MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience of using in-house / accounts software (ideally insight123 or Sage 50 Accounts) is essential
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to plan, anticipate bottlenecks in the workflow and manage conflicting demands and priorities
  • Excellent spreadsheet and IT skills
  • Manufacturing experience desirable
